Why College Turned Me Into A Conservative

I'd been getting blubbery emails from the Pitzer College Alumni Association for days now about some on campus hate crime. Didn't pay them any mind. Despite its claims of "multiculturalism and diversity," it's the most segregated environment I'd ever been in, so "hate crimes" wouldn't surprise me at all. Plus, they got my 80k, I got 2 BA's. Fuck 'em- our relationship is over.

So this didn't faze me one bit:
Recent Events In Claremont - UPDATE *******************************************************************
Press release from the Claremont Police Department: HATE CRIME INCIDENT ON MARCH 9TH, 2004 Detectives from the Claremont Police Department and Agents from the FBI are continuing to follow-up on many leads regarding the hate crime incident that occurred on 3-9-04 at the Claremont Colleges. As a result of the continuing investigation, several witnesses to the incident have come forward and provided significant information. The Claremont Police Department is urging any additional witnesses or anyone with information relating to this incident to contact either Lieutenant Stan Van Horn or Detective Eric Huizar at (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

As the investigation continues Pitzer administration, faculty and students continue to explore issues related to tolerance and to discuss ways that an academic community can address these issues in our world.

Quote from Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley at a rally on the Mounds last Wednesday: "These events are tragic, disturbing and unacceptable. They have created a climate of fear in people and made us less secure in our community. The hate crime that occurred last night deeply affects our mission and personal safety. The vicious, hateful crime was designed to destroy the heart of our community, but as long as I am president of this college I will not let it happen. As one faculty member reminded me, we are the conscience of the Claremont Colleges consortium. I believe we are the leader. People who commit these kinds of acts will not succeed in their aim."
I was utterly unsurprised that they stopped classes for some sensitivity training navel gazing Bullshit. My only emotion was happiness that I'd escaped such a self-aggrandizing milieu. And a determination that I was done with higher education unless I was going to law school.

Only reason I'm posting about it is that I just found out the dumb broad spray painted her own car in front of 2 eyewitnesses:
SF Gate
Two witnesses interviewed by police investigators allegedly saw Dunn, a visiting professor of psychology at Claremont McKenna College, commit the vandalism, police said in a statement.

Dunn also gave inconsistent statements during two interviews conducted jointly by the Claremont Police Department and the FBI, said police Lt. Stan Van Horn.

Also, The Claremont Grad School weighs in.

Now If I was still attending Pitzer and my classes were cancelled, I would walk into one of this broad's classes and demand a refund. I would also be calling her a low class small time chicken thief. A professor of Psychology who isn't smart enough to diagnose herself. A failed Al Sharpton minus the charisma crossed with a failed Tawana Brawley. Let's get a look at the whore who thinks her issues are more important than the education of her students:

Note the handpicked minority backdrop.

I never really thought that the person involved had committed the hate crime against herself. Tell the truth I just didn't think about it at all. People called me whitey all the time growing up. Never considered it a crime, still don't think it is, and if you can't suck it up without a 5 college support group, Charles Darwin has a message for you: You ain't the fittest.

Shit like this happened all the time for 4 long motherfucking years and I was so sick of the drama and glad to be in the working world and back in New York...I didn't realize it had caused me to become a Republican for about 6 more years.

UPDATE: Pulled the cop's phone number. They've gone through enough trouble.
UPDATE: BTW, this paragraph from the SF Gate article may clear up any confusion
The consortium of seven independent institutions includes undergraduate colleges Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pitzer College, Pomona College and Scripps College, as well as the Claremont Graduate University and the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences.

UPDATE: I bet I never get an email telling me that this whole thing was a hoax. I bet the alumni office is perfectly happy leaving the alumni all across the US under the impression that this was done to her by someone else.
